History:

Shisui is one of the best and brightest of the Uchiha clan since his first or so birthday, which in turn triggered the death of his mother; this also brought his father to resent Shisui, because he believes that his son killed his wife. Because of this, Shisui felt pressured to make something of himself to perhaps get his father not to despise him so. And he did, his marks are perhaps only rivaled by his cousin’s. Over time Shisui’s father only became bitter towards his son, and Shisui gave up for the first time in his life. Gave up on ever making his father come to enjoy his company, take pride in the child he conceived. But Shisui still tries his hardest, which is probably a lot harder than most of the students on the island. Because he has to, it’s his duty as an Uchiha to become great. In the past, there were rumors of a relationship between himself and his cousin/best friend, Itachi, and this was further fuel to distance Shisui and his father.

When Itachi begun to surpass some of the most talented, securing a place in the respects of many people including Shisui’s own father (“Why can’t you be more like him?”) Shisui became envious, and almost as if on cue the clan elders assigned Shisui to keep watch over Itachi, because his behavior was becoming more and more antisocial. More notable, more unusual. (Not even the most antisocial Uchiha was as quiet as Itachi could be; was he planning something?) Intrigued by his cousin, the two click and eventually Shisui got over this faint jealousy with his father’s leaving his tight group of important people.

To be rid of him, Shisui’s father sent him to the school, and only sees his son over the holidays on which he must return home to. Shisui also plays the violin, perhaps one of the only things he really, really cares for, and he has talent for the instrument as only a very select few would know.

Personality:

Shisui is a rather closed off individual (not one to share a secret), cunning and perhaps a little bit manipulative. Although he may be described as ‘cold’, he tries to smile; no one else in their family does and it would be terribly drab if no one was to. (No one besides that one stupid cousin, the black sheep amongst the flock.) Wouldn’t it? People would be repelled, and even though he doesn’t enjoy many people’s company (those outside of the family being the majority of this) connections can propel one into more desirable conditions. But more often than not he slips into the cool-aired disposition, mainly around family and close friends. (There aren’t any.) He’s someone difficult to figure out fully, and hates to see himself as weak. To see others as weak, it’s frustrating and he despises it. But ignores it, he’s a hypocrite and knows it.
